Production blog editing -FT
While finally deciding what music to use we had to look throughly. There are a lot of music choices to choose from. Some are more mysterious and some are pure scary. While deciding ours we decided to go for pure terror. This was because the killer wasn’t exactly mysterious but he was attempting to kill us immediately. Unlike more mysterious horror villains who take their time. We picked one with a fast pace beat to it so it would attract an immediate rush of fear. High notes with low notes mixed together into the ambient sound also would help. The only hard part about this was making it sync with the moment. Each scene had a slightly different feel to it so the music had to match the scene. You can’t have a horror music playing with a scene not representing anything horror related. After deciding the music for each scene we will set them in. Volume depends on how much action is going on in said scene. In the climax music will be the loudest as that’s when the most music is happening. Everything else will have a similar volume as to not make the music obnoxious during the recording. If the music constantly changes volume it will also be distracting from the actual scene itself. After recording said theme we will also have to adjust ourselves in the recording itself to set the tone. We can fix some issues in editing the only issue would be things like background noise. These may mess up the music so we have to be careful as to not mess up the audio. After picking the theme we will implement in each scene with a group vote.
