What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?

The image of mannequins in weird angles and morphed is displayed throughout the opening sequence. They are doing things that medical staff would typically be doing in a hospital however, in a more graphic and putrid way. The color throughout the opening sequences is very dark and gritty.

How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the title?

With the dark gritty color and strange mannequins, it creates a sense of confusion at first. With every new scene being a little more graphic then the previous. Then at the end a monster with disturbing features slices at the camera creating a sense of horror.
