Production blog changes made - FT

We decided to change the script a bit to improvise. Some of the script wasn’t really realistic. For the video we were trying to do the script didn’t make a lot of sense. So what we changed was making the script more towards a vlog horror story. We made the characters into vloggers trying to explore the woods. The hard part however was also making this vlog sound realistic. Since a killer randomly being in woods is already weird. So we made it seem like this should of just been another easy trip that gone wrong. This was the most realistic outcome we could think of for this situation. So we made Mario the main Vlogger and Myles the cameo who joined in. Daniel was unavailable so we had Jayden do the killer. The killer was made to seem like an insane person. Since it wasn’t a sci-fi or supernatural story in anyway. We made the characters and situation as realistic as possible. The next stage was implementing dialogue to set the scene. I would be speaking about this new adventure while My

Production blog film review - FT

While reviewing the film we had to change a couple of things in my opinion. Some aspects were a bit weird and out of place. However for the most part the film was as we envisioned. We had a horror character that is realistic and scary. That was the hardest part about filming this in my opinion. Since horror is something that can be pretty hard to achieve. Most audiences are too mature to find anything scary. Or they are too desensitized from other movies. The best part was being able to use a actor that was effective in establishing the sense of fear. After we decided to change one thing ourselves about the film. We were going to do a black and white pallet for the film. But we changed this as it wouldn’t fit with the video. Since vloggers usually film in color and not in black and white. Vloggers use higher quality cameras that have color. It also made the scene feel more natural creating a mystery feeling. I felt we needed to change the script since we did improvise a bit in the fil

Production blog music - FT

We finally decided on using royalty free music. It would prevent copyright but also keep the film scary. Since music is almost a necessity in horror movies. The only films with no music are very old were technology wasn’t available. After picking our music we fnaf to pick on when we should add it throughout. As stated in an early editing blog it all depended on the scenes themselves. Some scenes shouldn’t have music at all. Since it’s supposed to be a vlog and most vlogs don’t have music. We will add music when it’s the camera looking at the killer for example. Or even when the characters are running. We will had the suspenseful music in the correct situations. If we add them in the wrong situations it will change the feeling of the scene for the worst. We don’t want a scene that is supposed to be a neutral feeling to be scary. Afterwards we will add a scene that prevents the characters from escaping. Showing the killers relentlessness we will use fast pace music. Fast pace music is ne

When we finally got to the forest we decided a couple of things. Firstly who exactly the killer should be acted by. We didn’t want to use someone who doesn’t really know how to do it. The killer is the most important part of the film. After deciding that we also had to be certain of where in the park to film. As it was a public park and people were still coming in. We also had to be aware of the closing time. Since the park closed at 7 pm due to the coronavirus pandemic. We deciding on a public picnic area since thankfully no one was there at the time. After picking the area we got to filming. We filmed using an iPhone 14 Pro Max camera since it was the highest quality camera available to us. We used a cane we found as a weapon since it’s not sharp and theoretically could be used a murder weapon. We had other things like a toy sword but we didn’t find those very scary. Afterwards we decided to keep the killer looking insane. We made sure the actor kept his eyes wide open the whole tim

As a group we decided to film in the park. We did this because our film is supposed to be a vlog. Normal at first but then slowly the killer is revealed. The killer will be hidden the background throughout filming. This is to create a sense of unknown and hopelessness. Since the audience will know the killer is there but the characters wont. Afterwards we will attempt to make the killer slowly walk up and kill one character. This character will quickly die off camera so it creates shock. It will be from a upward angle so it won’t be too hard to know what’s happening. This will also prevent the killer from being shown for too long. Any extra parts of us saying cut will be taken out later. The parts that is most important is when we film the killer moving. This is because the killer has to move a certain way. We want the killer to look human but insane. Since our killer isn’t supposed to be supernatural. After we do this the killer will appear to kill the next character. However this ki
