While doing the audio I will make sure all the audio flows cleanly through scenes. For example, instead of abruptly ending scenes I will transition with a sound effect. This will be done to prevent confusion between scenes and to give the watcher a second to compose themselves for new information. Transition sounds will range from simple wind wooshes to maybe a fade out sound. I will also manage the dialogue by making sure nothing is too loud or quiet. I will make sure to keep the sound consistent throughout the commercial, so it doesn't feel poor quality. I may also use some other non-diegetic sounds such as birds chirping to drown out any wind noises or any other background noise. If I do have any jump cuts throughout the commercial, I will make sure the sound isn't distorted or anything changes as to prevent awkwardness. During any dialogue that requires more explanation not provided during the scene; I will provide voice overs specifically to explain scenes further. I also plan to insert voice overs in case any dialogue that I can't redo becomes distorted or bugs out during downloading. However, voice overs are a last resort as they often don't sound very good in the scene and sound out of place usually. This is due to the inability to really match the audio with the distance of the speaker from the camera. It does give me more control over the volume of the audio which can make it a little easier to manage. During my commercial, I believe I will have a sound motif of mostly birds chirping, or any other light nature sounds. Mainly because I will primarily be filming outdoors, and I would rather have nature sounds over wind noises. I will keep variety between the birds chirping and nature sounds to prevent the noises from getting repetitive. Diegetic sounds are harder to keep consistent throughout the commercial since they are all in the film and harder to edit properly. If I edit the audio it might end up sounding distorted or out of place entirely. Dialogue wouldn't be as hard though since I can just lower the volume or make the voice priority sound over others. Finally, my audio while important probably won't be too hard to manage since new camera and phone technology makes editing these things a lot easier.
